A company is voluntarily recalling 145,000 cans of infant formula due to a possibility of cross-contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii, a bacteria that can cause sepsis and meningitis.

No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported.

“We are committed to the highest level of quality and safety and it is for this reason that we have taken this extraordinary measure,” the company said. “The batches in question tested negative for Cronobacter and other bacteria and this is an isolated situation.”

Anyone who has purchased the recalled product should dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
